Bedford is situated on the southeast side, and really is a charming small town that ended up getting engulfed by suburbia over the course of the 20th century.
There is a very strong sense of community in Bedford, and city services are very responsive. It is a stable community with well-maintained properties and very strong demand for housing.
Bedford benefits from easy access to I-271, for connections to other southeast suburbs, and for a route to travel to Cleveland.
Bedford is anchored by Bedford Reservation, a great park that offers many amenities for residents, and by its old downtown area, which has a range of small shops, historic structures, a town square, etc.
The housing stock of Bedford ranges from pre-1900 historic structures all the way to 1990s condos, and everything in between. While single family houses are certainly the most common, there are also many duplexes, apartments, and townhouses. Quite a bit of the housing stock is the 1950s starter type ranch or cape cod house.
Overall this is a very attractive city for investors, but it is important to note that the rental inspection process can be quite strict, so investors should plan accordingly.
