 About Brooklyn Centre…

Situated just north of the Old Brooklyn neighborhood of Cleveland, Brooklyn Centre is sort of like Old Brooklyn’s older, edgier neighbor, and has a lot of potential for future growth despite its fairly low grade.

The neighborhood isn’t too large, and is fairly dense. Brooklyn Centre is poised to benefit from its proximity to Metro-Health, a huge public hospital that has been expanding its presence and reach for a number of years. Additionally, Brooklyn Centre benefits from its central location and easy access to I-71, for fast commutes to downtown Cleveland as well as virtually any suburban location.

The housing stock consists primarily of single and multi-family houses, but there are a fair number of small apartment buildings scattered throughout the neighborhood as well. The majority of the housing was built from the latter part of the 19th century through the 1920s.

The caliber of Brooklyn Centre varies considerably from block to block, so this area is one that requires a lot of close investigation when investing.
